Management Services
This service is focused on providing specific
management support to the customer’s site team during the critical
erection, commissioning and testing phases of the power train equipment to
achieve the earliest commercial operation date. Although the customer will have some form of technical
assistance support from the power train supplier to work alongside the site
erection contractor, the
combined site resources require to be effectively managed, This service provides specific
project and construction management support to focus on the critical path
activities, addressing:
¨ Construction
risk assessment of the power train installation process, inclusive of known problem areas
from lessons learnt experiences.
¨ Thorough
checking the receipt of materials and equipment.
¨ Focus
on critical lifting, installation, commissioning and testing operations to
ensure compliance with proven procedures and site safety/quality practices.
¨ Site
technical issues relating to power train installation and its interface
with the cogeneration or CHP plant equipment handled efficiently, to
minimize site delays and contain construction costs.
¨ Monitoring
the power train performance test and review of results against contract
guarantees, to confirm compliance or liability exposure.
¨ Managing
the detailed power plant completions punch-listing to effectively start the
warranty period, and protect plant availability and reliability.
¨
Supporting the customer’s site management during cost and
schedule reviews.
Consultant’s
familiarity with the power train equipment and his understanding of the
problems typically encountered on sites during installation and testing,
plus a knowledge base of lessons learnt feed-back, makes this a productive assignment
in securing contract schedule and containing site costs.
