This
service provides specialist support to customer’s management and contract
teams in the preparation of contract documents, recognising that this
process can be both complex and protracted when addressing inputs and
reviews from the customer’s contracts, operations, technical, quality,
financial and planning groups.
The schedule for contract placements can easily drift in time and
therefore jeopardise the planned Commercial Operation Date (COD) before the
project has been effectively launched. The Consultant would integrate into the customer’s
management team with the objective of providing a dedicated focus on
contract execution and schedule.
The
Consultant can also assist in the development of the project contract
strategy, recognising that project scope and schedule, plant location,
expertise of local contractors and availability of skilled resources can
influence how the contracts are structured and executed.
Consultant
can also provide contract support,
addressing such items as technical definition, terms and conditions
of contract and a consolidated review of warranties, guarantees and
liabilities to protect customer’s position during the design, supply,
installation, testing and provisional/final acceptance of the plant.
Consultant’s
detailed familiarity with the processes of contractor selection can also be
used to support the customer during award of contract and follow-on
contractor order definition meeting.
